We enjoyed the hospitality in Tampere!

Thank you LIAA for organizing the trade mission to Alihankinta fair. Here is a summary from Alise Barvika, Head of the Representative Office in Finland at Investment and Development Agency of Latvia posted in Linkedin.

Mechanical engineering supply chain to Finland from the Baltics were topics discussed at Alihankinta HUB last week in Latvian joint stands provided by MASOC (Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia).

Interconnected = stronger

Mechanical engineering industry is among the top export industries from Latvia to Finland. We were happy that well established Latvian subcontracting companies attended this largest industrial fair in Finland. Alihankinta is a 2nd largest industrial subcontracting fair in Europe.

We were also finally able to meet in person in the traditional FIN-EST-LAT INDUSTRY MINGLE event introducing Latvian, Finnish and Estonian companies. Interconnected = stronger.

What did Latvian businesses offer?

The Ambassador of Latvia to Finland Ms. Dace Treija-Masī also attended the Latvian joint stands.

Latvian participating companies this year were offering a wide range of subcontracting services. Such as:
Metal cutting and bending as a service, welded steel structures, assembling, CNC precise machining, foundry services, non-destructive testing laboratory services, prototype manufacturing and assembly.
The specializations of the companies and products supplied were in the range of following: stairs, industrial service platforms, environmental objects, recovery vehicle equipment, conveyors, automation equipment components,  building steel, transformer tanks, agriculture equipment, industrial mixers, industrial markings, engineering consultations.

SILMOR presented durable industrial markings for cabin builders, equipment manufactures and agricultural machinery.
