Trade fairs are back

After nearly two years of almost complete absence, trade fairs are finally back and in full swing. This spring and early summer have been busy for SILMOR with one or two fairs in a row almost every month.

About Advanced Engineering Stockholm

It’s been a month since Advanced Engineering at Stockholm, and we are looking back with a smile. We were newcomers, but this exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to meet with product development engineers, strategic purchasers, and engineering industry CEOs to establish and expand our presence in the Nordic market and gain new customers. Likewise it was an exciting chance to see how this form of business gathering has transformed since recent years

Importance of human factor in negotiations

Even though we have mastered online communication and learned quite well how to look for opportunities in such an environment, the human factor still plays a significant role in business negotiations. Meaning that having the chance to meet in person, make eye contact, read body language to adapt and understand each other better is essential for closer connections and lasting relationships in the future.

We at SILMOR still believe that personal contact has a great impact on successful long-term collaboration. As a result, we feel optimistic that these first two quarters of face-to-face meetings will significantly boost the business’s growth, the implementation of new products and ideas, and the formation of new partnerships.

What we see has changed in person-to-person meetings

To summarize, our CEO of SILMOR, Liene Gaspazina, offers a few pointers and observations on what has changed in person-to-person meetings:

  • Favorable time for the communicative. Two years of online communication and isolation have taken their toll and changed the business gatherings. But this might be good. People have become more talkative and like to chat and network.
  • This might be the time to sort through your means of presentation. The paper business card has been replaced by Apps; also no demand for booklets.
  • No time for pretence – substance is what matters. The victory march of sports shoes continues in the business environment; forget about formal footwear. Stress your product not your apparel.

Meanwhile, adhering to the “no paper” trend, SILMOR has launched its new website, www.silmor.eu. Meet us there or at the next trade fair.
