Tech Industry Week Reflections: Insights from SILMOR Industrial Marking
SILMOR Industrial Marking: Key Takeaways from Tech Industry Week
The Tech Industry Week in Latvia has wrapped up and SILMOR presented Industrial marking solutions. As a key event for the Baltic industrial and technology sector, it provided valuable insights, networking opportunities, and discussions on the future of manufacturing, metalworking, and industrial innovation.
SILMOR Industrial marking and printing participated and showcased: durable labels, metal plaques, front panels, overlays, precision-cut components, and reusable foam packaging while connecting with industry professionals and exploring new business opportunities.
Strengthening Partnerships & Planning for the Future
The expo was a fantastic opportunity to meet existing customers, reconnect with partners www.emjmetals.lv , and discuss collaboration plans for the upcoming year. Events like this are invaluable for fostering relationships and aligning industry goals.

A Growing Event, but Where Are the Manufacturers?
Tech Industry Week has evolved into a major exhibition in the Baltics, attracting both local and international attendees. However, there still seems to be a 50:50 split between distributors and industry players. While distributors are essential, a stronger presence of manufacturers and OEMs would make the event even more impactful.

Welcoming Finnish Guests to SILMOR
One of the highlights of the week was hosting guests from Finland at SILMOR! We had great discussions on industrial marking solutions and future cooperation opportunities. A big thank you to LIAA for organizing such productive meetings.

Quality Over Quantity at Conferences & B2B Meetings
Both MASOC – the Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia and LIAA – the Latvian Investment and Development Agency did a fantastic job organizing the conference and B2B meetings. While attendance could have been higher, the quality of discussions and networking opportunities made up for it.
Industry Challenges: The Road Ahead
The conference speakers painted a challenging picture for the future of metalworking and related industries. With Europe facing increasing competition from the USA and China, the key question remains: How can we boost productivity and innovation to stay competitive?
Shaping the Future Together
With the tech and industrial sectors constantly evolving, events like Tech Industry Week serve as important milestones to assess challenges, explore solutions, and drive progress.
